Album Description After their adoptive mother is murdered during a grocery story holdup, the Mercer brothers hotheaded Bobby (Mark Walberg), hard-edged Angel (Tyrese Gibson), family man and businessman Jeremiah (Andri Benjamin), and hard rocking Jack (Garrett Hedlund) reunite to take the matter of her death into their own hands. As they track down the killer, they quickly realize that their old ways of doing business have new consequences. In this character-driven action-drama from acclaimed director John Singleton (Boyz N the Hood, 2 Fast 2 Furious), four brothers come together to discover that they are bound by ties thicker than blood. The jazzy, orchestral score is by composer David Arnold.

Brothers' Gonna Work It Out? August 25, 2005 Fifty Seven Jazz (Cincinnati USA) 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
This very entertaining film closes with a song by the great Willie Hutch, Brothers' Gonna Work It Out (from the 1973 film, The Mack). It's the perfect closing tune for the film and it should be on the CD. What a shame!
Outstanding soundtrack for excellent film August 15, 2008 Robin Fletcher (Dallas, TX) When Marvin Gaye's I WISH IT WOULD RAIN plays, and Mark Wahlberg cries, you know it is the perfect combination of great music and a great director (John Singleton) with an outstanding cast. Buy the film score also.
what song is this? June 16, 2008 Danielle J. Ezcurra do you know what song is playing while victor sweet and his boys are in the restaurant...its playing in the background...is it on the soundtrack?
Music To My Ears March 23, 2008 Kenny Lloyd This soundtrack came to me as a big surprise. When I saw the movie I thought the soundtrack was going to have different types of rap/hip hop music. The soundtrack went really well with the movie. Then again, how can you go wrong with Marvin Gaye? I'll admit the Jackson 5 song kind of throws of the whole motown feel but as you get into the rest of the CD, its almost hard not to sing along and nod your head to some of the greastest music out there! If you're into motown kind of music then this is definitely a CD not to pass up
Great Soundtrack August 23, 2007 Darlene B. Mcfadden This soundtrack is a feel good soundtrack. They just don't make music like that anymore.
