A Bit of a Disappointment March 18, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
The sticker on the front of this CD stated that it contained the Album Version of "Check On It" taken from Destiny's Child #1's and also contained remixes. After taking the wrapper off and to my surprise, that sticker covered over the bottom right corner where it states that this CD does not contain the Album Version. I just wanted to get the version of this song featured in the new THE PINK PANTHER film. However, that version is not on here. All the cuts on this CD are just remixes. The back of the CD states that that version is available on the soundtrack to THE PINK PANTHER. However, when I checked the soundtrack it states that Beyonce does not perform on that CD. I am totally confused and disappointed.
A #1 On Billboard Proves No Wrong February 14, 2006 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
If you're a fan of fun, infectious, and thoughtless music tracks (with a deliciously addicting beat and chorus as well), this single is a fantastic addition to your collection. Beyonce's trilling, multi-octave voice shines, and Slim Thug's two rap verses only bring on the heat. The second track is basically the same thing, except with the "DC Destiny's Child" verse immediately followed by Beyonce's first verse, and the second rap verse being skipped entirely. This would be a brilliant club track if remixed correctly.
(And to those who review without even experiencing the product, you are blatantly defeating the purpose of the word "review." If you prefer rock, oldies, etc. over hip hop, that's fine, but please don't come over here trying to convert people without actually reviewing the product.)
Check This Out: This Song Is Wack! January 28, 2006 5 out of 13 found this review helpful
I heard this song on radio several times before I realized that the song was by Beyonce. I've never admired Beyonce's music style because she's mainly pop with very little substance. "Check On It" has to be the worst song so far in 2006. The video is just as awful, showing Beyonce caked with make-up, scantily clad, and shaking her behind. I thought she looked ridiculous, especially with that matted cat fur on her head. Basically, the song is about shaking your booty at the club and giving some perverted scumbag permission to grind into the back of you. That's one of the reasons why I stopped going to the clubs a long time ago because that type of "dancing" is just plain vulgar. Anyway, the song sounds better without the guest rapper (Slim Thug), but it's still an awful song.

I heard this song on radio several times before I realized that the song was by Beyonce. I've always admired Beyonce's music style because she's mainly pop with a lot of substance. "Check On It" has to be the best song so far in 2006. The video is just as amazing, showing Beyonce's natural beauty, dressed so sexy, and shaking her behind. I thought she looked fabulous, especially with that beautiful hair. Basically, the song is about shaking your booty at the club and engaging some gentlemen to move to the rhythm. That's one of the reasons why I started going to the clubs a long time ago because that type of "dancing" is simply awesome. Anyway, the song sounds better with the guest rapper (Slim Thug), but it's still an amazing song.

This is a great variety of remixes for Beyoncè's Check on it. My favorites are track 3 and 5. So go and support Beyoncè and buy this single. From Beyoncè's biggest fan, Quincy Goss
