Album Description THE DEBUT ALBUM INCLUDES THE #1 DANCE HIT "EVERYTIME WE TOUCH"!!
Album Description UK pressing of the Europop diva's debut album features one bonus track over the domestic version ('Truly Madly Deeply'-Slow Version) plus different artwork. Natalie Horler is Cascada and despite being based out of Germany and achieving initial success in the US, she is in fact English. Following her phenomenal success throughout the rest of the world, Cascada releases her debut album in the UK with production duties supplied by DJ Manian and Yanou (the same team behind DJ Sammy's success with 'Heaven' a couple of years ago). The album shows a real strength in depth and features cover versions of Kim Wilde's 'Kids In America' and an interpolated version of Nik Kershaw's 'Wouldn't It Be Good' as well as tracks penned by DJ Manian and Yanou. 15 tracks. All Around. 2007.

Remixes, dance tracks and ballads April 1, 2006 37 out of 40 found this review helpful
If you like DHT's version of "Listen to Your Heart" and fast paced dance tracks with a Euro-pop beat, you'll like this album.
Cascada is a trio made up of singer Natalie Horler, and two producers Yanou and DJ Manian. This album contains some remakes, lots of trance and a couple of pop ballads. Most people will by now have heard the hit "Everytime We Touch", which is a remake of a 1992 hit by Maggie Reilly from her solo album "Echoes", but other great tracks are "How Do You Do!" (Roxette's 1992 hit); "Miracle"; "Bad Boy"; and "A Neverending Dream"(originally by X-Perience from 1996's "Magic Fields.")
Also on this album are versions of "Kids in America" (Kim Wilde), "Truly Madly Deeply" (Savage Garden), and "Wouldn't It Be Good" (Nik Kershaw). The lyrics are simple, the beats are catchy, and this light and breezy album is great for dancing or just chilling out with friends.

the mainstreaming and death of vocal trance February 28, 2006 18 out of 33 found this review helpful
Well, I bought the first few singles, and pretty much didn't expect much better from the album. Cascada is to vocal trance what 2 Unlimited was to techno. first few songs are catchy, and have a hint of that flavor that you're so into at the moment, but it comes along right as your great underground sound is being commercialized for mass audiences, with sing-song melodies and cheesy vocals.
That's what you get here. It's catchy, you can sing along, but there is nothing outstanding here that you're going to fall in love with--mostly stuff that will get stuck annoyingly in your head. Track 5 is a terrible ballad that breaks up the pacing, as well as a downtempo cover of Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply", you get a slow version of Everytime we Touch, there's a cover of Kim Wilde's 80s classic "Kids in America" (stick to the original), and a cover of Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't it Be Good."
this one is only for pop music fans who want a few dance CDs. Serious club music collectors might be better off just grabbing the singles with some different remixes.
Music for SCUM. April 1, 2007 11 out of 30 found this review helpful
It's not often that you hate a record after the first few seconds, but that's exactly what happened here. Not for the music itself though.. let me explain.
First of all - the actual music is AWFUL. Tinny, flat sound with as much depth, charm and passion as a Happy Meal. Dull, formulaic drivel that consists of cover after cover - take a famous song, strap a instantly dated techno beat behind it, get token blonde to sing the vocals and voila - one super-suck album.
As the official Room 101 of Amazon, The Curmudgeon has access to many exclusive things. And so here is an actual excert from the recording studio where this travesty was recorded...
"What's that? Oh - 'Truly Madly Deeply' - that's a song that people who don't actually like music will know - cover that. Oh, and Kim Wilde's 'Kids In America' - that's got a good chorus, hasn't it. Let's cover that too. 'How Do You Do' by Roxette. What the hell - cover it. We really are making a worthwhile and quality album here, aren't we? Pass the cocaine."
But like I said - it's not the actual music that is so abhorrent - its the image it brings when you first hear it, of the actual low-life, teenage single mother SCUM who will buy it.
You WILL hear this coming from some empty-headed yo-yo-knickered harlot's I-Pod. You WILL hear this coming from some clapped-out car full of thick kids in baseball caps. You WILL hate absolutely everyone who listens to this.
People who listen to this don't even know what music IS. Don't be one of them.

Pretty good debut but please no ballads and covers! March 25, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Like many people I was hooked on the song "Everytime we Touch" and thus decided to not only download this song, but two others (How do you do! and Bad Boy). After listening to these three songs non stop I decided to buy the album hoping that there were more songs like those.
I was surprised. "How do you do!" was a bit different that the version that I downloaded but it was still good. Matter of fact, the much of the album is pretty good. Not bad for a vocal dance debut.
The only reason why I gave this 4 and not 5 stars was because of the songs "Another Girl" (track 5) and the cover of Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply" (track 10). These ballads were terrible and it made Cascada sound like she was on American Idol.
Bottom Line: Get this album if you like the dance beat of "Everytime we Touch", all but two tracks (5 and 10) are filled with the dance beat that are addictive, catchy and fun.
Outstanding Music to Run! February 21, 2006 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
http://www.myspace.com/cascada. I am at a loss of words as to describe their music. You'll have to listen to know how it is. Similar to reading about a place and actually being in that place. Cascada's music is just like that. You'll have to listen (sample) to truly appreciate their style. My listening repertoire are mainly the opera recitals, but when Cascada's music sounds this good, what can I say? Music is music is music!
What attracted me towards Cascada in the first place? The awesome beats and deep bass that will motivate any runner to finish their miles. During study breaks, Cascada's music makes a great tune to unwind and recharge your brain to absorb information.
If you have doubts about their style, Cascada has the official band page on Myspace and you can sample fully 4 of their songs that appears on their debut CD.
But it and support this cool genre of dance/trance/techno.
