If you're familiar with Lola Ray's debut, "I Don't Know You," what you might expect from "Liars" probably isn't quite what you'll get... But that's not a bad thing, by any means.

If you strip down the songs on "I Don't Know You" to their lyrics and build more beautiful melodies around them instead of filling them with jittery dancable numbers and sing along choruses, you'll get a better feel for this album. Basically, this album is more mellow and beautiful, but still not a far departure from their last. The release still feels very much like them, and the sexual lyrics aren't going anywhere yet.
Think along the lines of tracks like "Charlit Movie Star," or "Slave," but better.

Overall, I love this album. I got a copy of it back in February, and still listen to it regularly. That is not a common thing for me-- I tend cycle through music like crazy. So I think that speaks well of the band.
