I recently bought a CD called "Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson, VH1 Storytellers." It is terrific! The two of them doing acoustic versions of each other's songs, singing duets, telling each other stories. A wonderful album. In my enthusiasm, I rushed back to Amazon and ordered another CD (this one) of the two of them, thinking it would be more of the same kind of thing.
This is not at all what I had thought it would be. It is two CDs, one Johnny Cash the other Willie Nelson. They are not together. They are separate. Solo. Detached. Unconnected. Alone. There is no interplay, no relationship, no exchange, no duets. If you want these two guys actually singing together in the same room, get the "VH1 Storytellers" album. This is actually two separate albums of really bad sound quality (Willie sounds like he is singing in a tunnel), and though the songs selected are most of each artist's top hits, they are far from the best versions you will find. It is a bizarre idea to market this CD as if they are together (like the pic on the cover shows).
