Haters Gonna Hate December 14, 2006 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
I'm going to start off by saying that 95% of the people who gave this a bad review have not even listened to this album. For whatever reason they hate Paris and just decided that they wanted to show how pathetic they can be by throughing the negativity at what could be a huge hit.
I will be the first to admit Paris isnt the strongest vocalist but as shown on Stars are Blind she has a nice soft mellow sounding voice. I think vocally she is better than any performance Britney Or Jennifer Lopez have done.
This album has so many hot beats most notably are the tracks TURN IT UP & TURN YOU ON. Then she has the so cheesey its hot songs like NOTHING IN THIS WORLD & HEARTBEAT(which is my fave song on the album).
Ill also admit her lyrics arent the most dramatic and deep but this isnt that kind of album. This is a feel good go out and party album. No one ever said this was going to be inspirational or change the world, it's a fun album recorded by a fun girl who no matter what haters say has alot of talent. I respect the fact she is trying to earn her own money and not just live off of daddys money.
I love Paris and I love this album and if you people would give it a shot you would to.

Really Blind August 24, 2006 11 out of 20 found this review helpful
With so much going on in the music industry, it seems like there really hasn't been a artist who really has been wide-appealing to everyone. But, there are ones who have overdubbed their image so badly, you definitely get sick of whatever they are doing. That has been in my view for acts like Beyonce', Kelly Clarson, and Britney Spears. But, for somebody who is starting to make it in the industry like Paris Hilton, that is a unfortunate disgrace. For somebody who made it infamous because of a sex tape, she is just a bad example for so many young women. As for her enterance to the music industry, she doesn't actually sing at all.
Paris Hilton's debut record, Paris, is a unfortunate feeling of trashy pop, with a hint of manufacturing voices. The album is satired with so much Paris, it is just annoying, as is relevant to her debut blunt single Stars Are Blind. Not only that, but her tine isn't really interesting for a debut at all. The record also includes a bad and pathetic cover of Rod Stewart's Do Ya Think I'm Sexy, which Paris not only doesn't deliver on, she makes it seem like she is trying too hard to make it her own. It is so bad, you just wish Rod Stewart perfomed in on television again.
With what Paris Hilton has started to make out on music, you just wanna gag. Although those who think of her as a goddess might want this record, it is definitely something you just want to throw into the garbage disposal. I definitely hate this record.

Worst Debut Ever and Worst New Artist of 2006
Kelly Clarkson can finally breath a sigh of relief now August 24, 2006 10 out of 24 found this review helpful
My daughter actually had a friend who bought this, and I had to actually sit and listen to it. But give it a chance, afterall, when it came to hosting SNL last year, she did a better job than Robert Deniro. But as it turned out, this could easily be one of the dullest albums I've ever heard.
The people responsible for producing this CD could just as easily, put another name and face on the cover and sold it as Sally Jones; for example. There's no personality to be found on this disc. Well produced, but that means nothing to me. It's another reason for the downfall of the compact disc/album. People buy it for the "hit" song, and find out the rest is just slick filler. By the way, the hit song from this album isn't good at all. So, Kelly Clarkson can finally breath a sigh of relief now, this CD isn't going to challenge Breakaway or whatever comes next.
So save that hard earned money, or give it to a charity near you.
P = pathetic A = asinine R = repetitive I = ineffective S = sugar coated

Another surprise from your favorite heiress!!! August 22, 2006 7 out of 15 found this review helpful
WOW!!! First she makes a sex tape and becomes famous overnight. Next she makes a couple ridiculously bad movies and even writes a book. So now she has decided to pursue a singing career...nice move Miss Hilton. Paris has finally found her niche in showbiz with this catchy dance album. The vocals are nothing more than mediocrity but the tracks are so dynamic that they do not need to be garnished with heavy high notes and rifts. The debut features Scott Storch at his finest and really shows his talent as a producer. The album is similar to Madonna and Kylie Minogues dance tracks but also has Britney Spears type pop as well. "Turn it up" is definitely a potential single and is honestly better than any dance sinlge on the radio today.There is even a song "Jealousy" that is likely in reference to Paris' ex-friend Nicole Richie. I gave the album five stars not because this is a masterpiece but because Paris is doing her job as an artist by entertaining her audience. As the heiress herself would say...Thats Hot!!!
