I'm never satisfied with any album in it's entirety, and this one is no exception, but this girl... agh... she... she blew me away... she has an undeniable aptitude for creating friggin' masterpieces. It doesn't fall into one specific category; it's Ambient, Electronica, Indie Rock/Pop... and what I thought was very unique about her music is that it's very "theatrical". It's the sort of music you hear in the climactic scene of a movie. Her vocals are that of a siren's and the instrumentality, beautiful. "Just For Now", "Speeding Cars" and "Can't Take It In" are the three songs I can't get enough of. Two of these aren't in the first-released album; they were integrated into another compilation of songs with a variety of artists when first released, but they're in this version of "Speak For Yourself". This song isn't in this album: "Glittering Cloud" (it formed part of "Plague Songs", also a compilation of songs composed by various artists), but it's an amazing song. The reader should device a way of obtaining it (hint hint)... heh... I don't think this statement was at all suggestive... I need to work on my implying.
