| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com On his sophomore CD, Jason Aldean, the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist for 2006, continues to rely on a proven formula--recording several John Rich co-writes, and reprising producer Michael Knox--while pushing harder on the rocking side of his Georgia roots. A platinum-seller his first time out, he stocks the new album with songs from reliable hitmakers (Brett James, Jim Collins, Tom Shapiro) to score at radio (watch for his duet with Miranda Lambert, "Grown Woman"), but also isn't afraid to get edgy ("Back in This Cigarette," about an anguished breakup). A serviceable baritone, a hat act with pierced ears, Aldean relies on attitude when all else fails, and it works. "Johnny Cash," his rocking ode to rebellion and rebirth, is the fastest-rising single of his career. --Alanna Nash
Album Description Jason Aldeans new album Relentless is a giant step forward. After achieving Platinum success with his debut every one involved knew that the best was yet to come. Jason has grown so much in the last 2 years and it shows in the songs that he has delivered for this album.

Love this guy's voice June 1, 2007 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I'm not a big country fan music lover but I have bought Shania Twain's and Tim McGraw's cd's.I never listened to Jason Aldean or ever of him but his cd was on sale so I picked it up.All I can is "WOW...I love this guy's voice". The way he lays it on you with "Johnny Cash" and "I Use What I Got",two of my favorites on the cd. Nice listen if you are taking a nice long drive during these summer days!
Solid June 28, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Jason Aldean is definitely one of the best young artists in country music. His second album is solid, but not better than his first. Of course, it's difficult to top the last CD.
There are a lot of really good tracks on the CD including "I Use What I Got", "Cigarette", and "Laughed Until We Cried."
The first single, "Johnny Cash" is okay... it's just too manufactured for radio... it's just not a natural song, which seems to be a theme with these songs. A lot are a product of the Nashville songwriting formula.
At times, the songs sound dangerously close to Rascal Flatts, which is bad. That's not something anyone should aspire to be.
All and all, it's a solid album and I like it. He makes it work, and his voice is awesome. I just wish he wasn't touring with Rascal Flatts so I could actually see the man in concert. Good thing he'll be around for years to come.
WOW! June 1, 2007 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I haven't heard all of the first album, just Amarillo Sky, which I loved. I saw the video on CMT for Johnny Cash and downloaded it. Bought this CD tonight and have listend to the whole thing, not a bad song on it. Back In This Cigarette is destined to be the next hit, but all of the songs are good. This guy has something special. After reading the review that said the first album was better, I've got to get it, too, because if it's better than than this... Besides the songs themselves and Aldean's voice, the band is just so tight on this CD. BUY IT! You won't be sorry.
great sophomore effort June 7, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
very good disc... not quite as good as his first, but that would have been hard to top... this guy is a great talent, great voice, great guitar work ... my biggest dissappointment was the duet with Miranda Lambert, they could have used her amazing voice much more powerfully than they did ... but all said, this should get Jason another 2 or 3 huge hits, and a few awards ... if you liked his debut, you will like this disc.
Good But....Not as good... May 29, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's gonna be very hard for Jason to top his debut CD or at least to me. I have over 400 CD's and Jason Aldeans 1st CD is the very best I have, so I could be a little bias. However this CD is definately worth buying. It's really good with lots of different emotions, slow songs, rockabilly and songs that pull on your heart strings. I am a hugh Jason Aldean fan and I'll buy whatever he releases. I've been patiently awaiting this release and ran out immediately and got it. It's really good but not as good as his debut cd. Go ahead, buy it, you'll like it!
