1. "Irresistible"- This is the song that caught my interest, and kept my interest even after hearing it several times. It just fills your mind and body with the uncontrolable urge to sing and dance. This song is completely "irresistible." *****

2. "A Little Bit" - Somewhat long & repetitive, it is not the strongest track, but the chorus is VERY catchy. ****

3. "Forever In Your Eyes"- Personally, I hate this song. Someone who likes ballads would love it, but I just don't. It's not bad, the vocals are beautiful, as are the lyrics, and the melody is sweet and simple, but it just doesn't appeal to me. **

4. "There You Were"- "You broke through the storm, and you turned back the night, baby you are my fire-" oops!! That happens everytime I even THINK about this INCREBILE duet with Marc Anthony. While I am not a very big Anthony fan, the two have the finest duet I have heard from any artists since the early '80s. You just have to hear this song, and is also "irresistable." This song is the first of the block I am most fond of. *****

5. "What's It Gonna Be"- "Every girl want a guy, that's right" "Remove your muscle I can see behind, see all the feelings you boys try to hide." "Are you gonna be dog or a gentleman?" I mean, this is just so wonderful! The playful lyrics and incredible poppy dance beat keep you both interested and dancing! *****

6. "When You Told Me You Loved Me" What a ballad! Even I can't press skip on this one! Jessica just displays so much feeling and soul in this song. Truly fantastic. *****

7. "Hot Like Fire" Oh, wow! POWER!! This song is "Hot like fire." Some guy's playing Jess, and she just found out. Does she ever tell him off! It has an opening vignette sort of "Oops! I Did It Again" reminescent. The climax where Jessica calls the player is AWESOME!! Lots of strong vocals and feeling in this song. I just LOVE it! *********

8. "Imagination"- Incorporates that classic little wish prayer into an uptempo, and very fun song. It's good, and stays with you pretty well, but not a personal favorite. ***

9. "To Fall In Love Again" It's okay. **

10. "For Your Love"- Really pretty and romantic. Good vocals, sweet lyrics ***

11. "Never"- As in I "never" listen to this one. **

12. "His Eye On The Sparrow"- I love this powerful gospel-pop song. It basically consists of speeding up and singing louder the following :"I sing because I'm happy, I sing, Because I'm free, His eye is on the sparrow, And I know he watches me." But it's fun to try and outsing her, great to dance to, and justa really wonderful song, overall. *****

So there you have it, and best of all, Jessica actually realizes what a role model is. Would she show up to an awards show in a skin-tone crop top and pants? Uh, no. Jessica is always trendy, yet classicly beautiful, and I admire her for being able to prove you don't have to be naked to be popular.

What more can you ask for? A good role model, a fabulous, out of this world singer, and a perfect combination of good songs? Sounds good to me!

Well, Jessica Simpson may be *another* blonde teen singer, but she does have talent. On her second album, Irresistible, she proves that she can sing and could be around for awhile. Unlike Sweet Kisses, there are a lot of fast songs and songs that deal with the darker sides of love, like cheating. Sure, there are some tracks which I would consider filler ones, but there are enough good ones on here to make it worth buying. My favorite songs are: Irresistible, A Little Bit, There You Were, What's It Gonna Be, Hot Like Fire, I Never, and Eye on the Sparrow. That's over half of the songs. So, as you can tell, I do like it, but I wouldn't reccommend it to everyone. If you don't like teen pop music, chances are you will not like this one. But, if you can at least tolerate it, I would suggest checking this cd out because it features a very talented singer and pretty decent songs.

This is Jessica Simpson's highly anticipated 2nd piece of work & might I add that I was extremely impressed.I had heard negative reviews coming from peeps but 1 of my mottos is to have your own experiences & not believe evrything u hear or read.

1.IRRESISTIBLE-5/5 This is the peppy title track that introduces the world to the new & improved Jessica.It's a good song to dance to! Especially in a club!

2.A LITTLE BIT-5/5 "It's not about who's weak or strong,it's about what I need to make this last" ahhh,I love that line in Jessica's informed 2nd single,great choice Simpson clan! I looove this tune! Alot of girl power & attitude!

3.FOREVER IN YOUR EYES-4/5 This is 1 of the 2 songs that Nick,Jess's beau wrote,it shows us the more sensual & passionate side of her.Basically it shows how Jess has changed from a sweet 17 yr.old girl from TX to a mature 21 yr.old woman who's in control.

4.THERE YOU WERE (Duet w/ Marc Anthony)-5/5 I love anything M.Anthony does so u can bet I loved this! It's a very thoughtful song,it sounds like it's gonna b a theme to a movie!

5.WHAT'S IT GONNA BE-5/5 A Britney-inspired track,it's a booty-boppin' type of song! ROCK ON! GIRL POWER!

6.WHEN U TOLD ME U LOVED ME-5/5 A sad Jess ballad,it's a tearjerker.I like how it's peaceful & easy 2 listen 2,she doesn't get really high in the singing in this song...nuff said! My third fave!

7.HOT LIKE FIRE-5/5 My fave on the album,I'm actually feeling a young Michael Jackson when she starts getting really into the song! I dunno why,hehe.It's Jess telling off her cheating lover.MORE POWER 2 JESS!

8.IMAGINATION-4/5 I looove,love,love the beats in this song,really creative.Really catchy lyrics! "I wished upon a star 2night,that u would grant my wish 2night,I wish I may I wish I might,have a wish I wished tonight,take me 2 the 1 in my imagination!"

9.TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN-3/5 The 2nd song Nick wrote,it,again shows us the more grown up Jess,I wouldn't dream of Jess singing this.Especially how she sings it! On the + side,the lyrics are pretty good!

10.FOR YOUR LOVE-5/5 I love this song! It's one of my faves! The vocals are awesome! It has very meaningful lyrics unlike some other artists *cough* Britney *cough*.

11.I NEVER-3/5 This is produced by Rodney Jerkins,it's easy to tell bcuz all his songs have the same beat & Jess says "Darkchild" in the beginning.It's a hot song! Jess wasn't joking when she said she was going more R&B

12.HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW-4/5 I like the Lauryn Hill version on Sister Act 2 more than Jess's gospel version but u can tell that she would also succeed in the gospel/CCM circuit but I love the instruments & the gospel choir! Jess used to sing this at church when she was a little girl!

OK, yeah- this CD is straight up pop. Not really much substance, not much creativity...but who cares? It's hot. The songs are fun, energetic and just cool. Honestly, yeah, she is copying Britney. But y'all- think about it. Britney has sold like ten million albums, is admired by many (hated by many.....but we're not talking about that!), and worshipped by just about every single guy in the world. Who wouldn't want that? Maybe she would use this Cd as a vehicle to acheive success and then put out strong, expressive music. Think about this too, Madonna started singing pop that everyone wrote her off. Now, the same critics are salivating over her. So, who are y'all to say this is limiting her career? Sorry- It just bugs me! Ok- the CD. I bought it cuz I like the single "Irresistable". it's a sugary-pop, radio friendly, over produced song. So?!!!!! It has fun beats, is catchy, and just straight up enjoyable. The rest of the Cd basically follows suit. So if you like good pop- this CD is for you. For everyone else who complains about even the single- why exactly did you get this CD if you don't like pop? What were you expecting? Some groundbreaking material? that it's not. But it's fun, lighthearted and catchy as hell.

Jessica Simpson can sing alright but on that Star search-atch me sing happy birthday for an half an hour kind of way. I got the disc for free and that is what it should be free. The first single irresistable is simply awful and that new image of hers please how much peroxide went into her hair and who told the girl to start dancing? She does have the pipes like Christinia and Carey but they all have one thing in common not a drop of soul to thir voices it's said if one of these girls ever covered "Natural Woman' they wouldn't understand the angst to pull it off and that's why songs such as "For your love" and "To fall in love again" lack spirit please this cookie sutter sound is trite and patheitic if Jessica just went and found new produces who can work around her limitaions she could turn out a solid material but for now this cd is a coaster for drinks!
