Amazing September 20, 2008 M. Elizee (USVI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wayne did it again, as he usually does. Though this was not Carter I, as the Carter II wasnt either, it was still amazing. After i had this i had it in my deck for two weeks straight. The fact that lil wayne can put out so much material in one year and it still be lyrically amazing says alot. No rapper has ever had the mixtape game like this and been featured on so many songs and work with so many different people. He has a different style and despite his lack of abillity to stay with one subject on a verse let alone a whole song is nothing new. Though he did surprise me on this album, which may be some of the first times ive heard him stick with the actual subject of the song throughout the whole song. His canny ability to make analogies that make you think are still all over this album. The beats are good and the featured guests top it off.
Over Rated Hot Boyz Lil Wayne Much Better June 24, 2008 Q (Montgomery, AL) 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
Lil Wayne's new style's not hitting on nothing. No thought or anything put into a song. He had a couple good lines but not enough to be a good album. Only get 1 star from me.
Are you serious?? August 4, 2008 Francis T. Keimig (Sunderland, MA USA) 13 out of 19 found this review helpful
I hear so many people defend Lil' Wayne as one of the greatest lyricists out right now. Ive even heard a few people say hes the greatest rapper of all time????!!!!! to me thats maddening and sickening. If you listened to this album and liked it, your probably too stupid to understand the words I am speaking. I HAVE listened to this album in its entirety and I have come to the conclusion that Lil' Wayne posses NO talent and is NOT a Genius. He does nothing impressive on this album. His record label is laying down his tracks the way they want and he follows orders. I don't care if the guy can make music without writing stuff down, SO WHAT! Just because you can spit off the top of your head doesn't make you good. If you are a terrible rapper, you are a terrible rapper. If you want to hear some REAL hip hop, try some A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Dilated Peoples, MC Ave, Supernatural, Little Brother, Boot Camp Clik, or Gangstarr. Get rid of the $$$ eyes and stop glorifying the south. There are a few exceptions, but 99.999999999% of southern rappers are terrible, end of discussion and this guy is right on the top of the list of the worst rappers of all time.
He's the whackest ever July 23, 2008 W. Fant (Ohio) 10 out of 15 found this review helpful
It is one star because amazon doesn't give me an option of making it 0 stars. This guy is the whackest ever. He is all about making money and creating negative images in the black community. He is a disgrace to himself, his family, the black community, America, Africa. His music is so horrible the U.S. constitution should make a one time exception and ban it. He's not a real M.C. He's whacdiculous.
Horrible August 23, 2008 Miguel Alveraz (Fort Worth, TX) 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
Hard to listen to a person talk about absolutly nothing at all. I can take random words and put them together. Why are people's mind's posioned by this garbage. Just think you gave fifteen dollars to a person that should be cleaning the fry hopper at McDonalds. If I hear another rapper talk about his rims, money and THE CLUB I am going to scream! The south is crap, lets go back to people who make real rap like East Coast, West Coast and the Mid-West.
