    Album Description
Vol. 3 - Greatest Hits of Tim McGraw show his musical genius as a testament to the instincts and tenacity of the man from the hometown of Start, Louisiana. He grew up loving music and sports as his father was baseball great Tug McGraw. Tim played solo in regional nightspots, then headed to Nashville, where he joined the throng of young hopefuls vying for attention. His on-stage charisma helped land him a record deal, and his debut album hit the stores in April 1993. He and his band--some of whom are still with him--took to the road to hone the sound that continues to make his concerts among the industry's most exciting.

    2 out of 5 stars $$$ curb $$$ records $$$   October 22, 2008

Just another example here of a record label that's out for themselves, and all they really care about is making more money. It's kind of a joke that Tim has only released one studio CD since his Greatest Hits 2 album...and now we have a Greatest Hits 3? That should be a complete embarrassment to Curb Records...

Luckily Tim has his own label now, and just has to wait out his contract with curb records (which is done after one more CD) before he can release his own new album with all new songs. I think the best quote ever is from Tim himself: "In the spirit of an election year, I would simply say to my fans ***I'm Tim McGraw, and I don't approve their message.***" : )

My belief here is that Curb Records has totally disrespected Tim McGraw by releasing a greatest hits package that he did not want to be released yet. I believe Tim McGraw wanted his all-new cd out first before this so that when the time came this package could have been handled properly. Shame on you Curb Records. I am R-D and i don't approve your message.

4 out of 5 stars Good value for the price   January 9, 2009

This was in my stcoking at Christmas. My wife knows I like Tim McGraw, having GH I & II, and this is not an expensive CD. There are a number of good songs on the CD and maybe one real dog. It is not a great GH CD but we have all seen worse. Did the label push this out to make some money? Many think so and might be right. On the other hand, there are some real good tracks on the CD and I like Tim McGraw.

CURB RECORDS IS JUST OUT TO MAKE MORE MONEY! IT HAS ONLY BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE TIM'S GREATEST HITS II! THERE SHOULD NOT BE A THIRD ONE FOR A FEW MORE YEARS! THIS IS YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE THAT THE INDUSTRY JUST WANTS MONEY! TIM STILL ROCKS, THOUGH!
