Album Description 2008 release, his first album since White Trash Beautiful four years ago. Love, War And The Ghost Of Whitey Ford [co-produced with his long-time partner Keefus Ciancia] is the logical sequel to Everlast's breakthrough, Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, an eclectic mix of rock, blues, country, pop and hip-hop; and includes the single 'Folsom Prison Blues' which is a Johnny Cash cover laid over Cypress Hill's 'Insane In The Brain' beats

Kill The Emperor? September 24, 2008 5 out of 27 found this review helpful
Everlast should have done another White Trash Beautiful sound-alike. This isnt even really music, its his views on politics. He's extremely anti-Bush. If it werent for Bush Everlast wouldnt even be making music anymore, if it werent for Bush none of us would be doing anything we like doing. Terrorists bombed our buildings, we bombed back. Now whats wrong with that?
The best songs on the CD are Die In Yer' Arms and Saving Grace. Folsom prison Blues was alright but he should have lefted the Cypress Hill beats out of it. Hopefully the future holds another White Trash Beautiful sound-alike.

Exquisite ... Everlast is fabulous and this CD provides an overview of all his many talents. From rock to folk to blues--incredible CD.
Impressive, and nothing less October 1, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
The only reason why I gave this album a 4 out of 5 stars is because of lofty expectations I had before its release. Although I truly enjoy how Everlast just seems to take you for a ride with every album he puts out, I was hoping for a little more hip hop on this album; especially with all the great tracks he puts out with La Coka Nostra. Needless to say, this release stands firmly on how versatile Everlast is as an artist, and how much he's matured ever since his days with the Rhyme Syndicate and solo debut, to House of Pain, to his solo projects and cameos, and of course, now with LCN. A strong and long-awaited album that will surely be revered by any real music fan that appreciates awesome talent. Big up Ev!
