    5 out of 5 stars You're all f***in' idiots!!!   September 25, 2005

This is not music that should be considered openly political in any way, shape, or form. For those of you douche bags that don't know, this album is based on a cartoon character [Sargent D] that Scott Ian (guitar) was makin' up after finishin' his guitar tracks while recordin' the second Anthrax album (most of you morons probably didn't even know that most of the members of S.O.D. are from Anthrax). It's made to be openly offensive and yet not taken seriously by anyone with any real sense of intelligence. It's made for politically incorrect fun like Stephen Lynch, as opposed to any morallistic message to be presented to the whole of society. And if these guys were really all conservative alpha male a** clowns, then why would they play Nirvana's "Territorial Pissings" at their live show in New York '92, which is a song that completely trashes the all conservative alpha male f***wad.

5 out of 5 stars Time made justice to S.O.D   February 24, 2005

S.O.D. emerged after first Athrax album, in early 80s as a side project, doe to the need of three of their members to play hardcore punk with trash influences, Scott Ian, Charlie Benante and Dan lilker with Billy Milano on vocals , released this masterpiece of extreme hardcore before its age , songs onder 3 minutes and even some tracks with 3 seconds duration , therefore tracklisting is large and topics are full of fun "chromatic death" "speak inglish or die" "momo" "fistbang mania" "jimi Hendrix Ballad" the classic cut "milk" "pi alpha nu" this reissue, remastered is a gift for S.O.D. lovers, over 1,000,000 copies sold prooves that this band is more solid than may bands in the world

5 out of 5 stars Not for Winger fans   July 29, 2000

Speak English or Die is brutal, fast, and angry. It is also rude, intelligent, and surprisingly funny (check out "What's that noise?" and "Milk").

Anyone who can handle the intensity of, say Slayer, Nuclear Assault, MOD, etc, will dig this album.

If you are a Winger fan, it will probably make you cry.

If you have the urge to bring out that White trash spirit lurking in you, if you want to kick back and close your eyes and SMELL the trailerpark, the pork rinds, and the Captain Crunch, this is the album for you. It's slow mediocre metal geared towards insulting women, gays, immigrants, and much much more! If Hitler floats your boat, this is the WhiteTrash Epiphany Album of the Millenium! Ignorance is Bliss! Listen to this while you graze in your pasture.

    5 out of 5 stars These guys defined punk/metal crossover !!   January 5, 2004

I remember the day "Speak English or Die" hit the scene when I was in high school. There was a real division beginning between punkers and metal heads where I was at and part of it was because of the violence from nazi skinheads beating up metal heads for having long hair. Since regular skinheads were kind of considered punkers and hard to tell apart from nazis, alot of metal heads were getting pissed at punks in general.
Some of my better friends were head bangers and we were all bummed about the whole affair. Well, when we heard "United Forces" come ripping from the vinyl in a vocal and chord crunching assault testifying that "...it doesn't matter how you wear your hair, it's what's inside your head..." we were stoked.
Here was this band, 2500 miles from where we were at, talking about the same problem tellin' everybody to lighten up.
I listened to this album exclusively for almost a half a year, and there was a lot of killer music then. As far as I'm concerned, these guys are the god fathers of speedcore and if you don't own it, at least hear it once. These guys were a major influence on metal to come!!
