Product Description Based on the #1 NY Times bestseller by Nicholas Sparks, "Nights In Rodanthe" follows a woman (Diane Lane) with her life in chaos as she retreats to the tiny coastal town of Rodanthe to tend a friend's inn for the weekend. The only guest at the inn (Richard Gere) arrives with a storm closing in on the town. The two turn to each other for comfort and, in one magical weekend, set in motion a life-changing romance. The soundtrack features "In Rodanthe" written and performed by Emmylou Harris, along with heartwarming songs in the style of Piedmont Blues by such artists as Count Basie, Ruth Brown, Slim & Slam, Dinah Washington, and more.

A song is missing from the CD. October 7, 2008 Judith A. Jamros (Denver, CO, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Nights in Rodanthe Soundtrack: When I received an email that included the trailer for the movie, I watched it, and loved the music that was playing in the background of the video. Thinking it was included in the movie soundtrack, I ordered the CD. I enjoy the music on the CD, especially the Emmy Lou Harris song, but the music that was used as background to the video trailer is NOT ON THE CD. I've looked and looked and can't find it anywhere. The song starts out "I never thought that I could ever . . ." and the phrase "everything will change" is repeated. Does anyone know who performs this song, why it wasn't included in the soundtrack recording, and where I can buy it?? Please respond to jjamros@msn.com. Thank you.
To the person searching for the song from the trailer!! October 19, 2008 LW (Florida) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The beautiful song you are looking for (Which unfortunately is not on the Soundtrack) is called "Love Remains the Same." It is on the album called Wanderlust by Gavin Rossdale. You can buy it here on Amazon!
Surprisingly Wonderful Music! September 27, 2008 musichead (Houston, Tx) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great overall album collection in addition to a beautiful new song from Emmylou Harris - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Disappointed October 17, 2008 K. M. Howard (Cincinnati, OH United States) I was disappointed in this soundtrack. I found only two redeeming elements to the movie, one being the music. Note, this "soundtrack" is a little over 44 minutes long and contains NONE of the incidental music. For that, you need to buy another soundtrack, which is posted on Amazon as $18. While the pieces that are included here are "nice" it's missing the "continuity" that many soundtracks have in telling the story of the film. I guess it's appropriate that this compact disk falls short, since the movie did as well.
Loved the film - but what is the song??? November 8, 2008 Trevor Rogers (Melbourne Australia) Hi - I am an Aussie bloke who saw the film with my girl last night and I loved it and thought it was an ok movie. There is a piece of music in the film where they are enjoying a BBQ on the pier. An old man starts to sing with a fiddle (violin) playing as his musical backup. Is this piece of music on the original soundtrack and if not, does anybody know what it is and where I can buy it? It was just fabulous. There was so much feeling and meaning by the old man singing the song, it made the price of the movie ticket well worth it. Good movie - it beats the hell out of seeing 453 "4 wheel drive Hummers" exploding in a thousand pieces on 5th Avenue. What really enoys me (and I have fallen for it many times), many original soundtracks don't have the original music from the film. Is it me or the rest of the world !!!! Thanks TR
