| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Soulja Boy Tellem's highly anticipated follow-up to Souljboytellem.com (Collipark Music/Interscope). Soulja Boy Tell'em hit the ground running promoting his debut album which led to record setting performances for ringtones (more than 5.3 million downloads), YouTube views (over 300,000,000 views) and an incredible seven-week run at the top of the "Hot 100" chart with the Grammy-nominated single "Crank That (Soulja Boy).Such staggering stats easily made Soulja Boy Tell'em the top new artist of 2008. Soulja Boy Tell'em follows this mega success with the highly anticipated iSouljaboytellem, produced by Soulja Boy Tell'em, with assistance from super-producer Mr. Collipark (Young Jeezy, Yin Yang Twins, Pitbull) and Polow Da Don (Ludacris, Fergie, Jamie Foxx, Ciara). The first single, "Birdwalk," follows the successful formula mined by "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," with another sure-fire infectious sing-along chant. "Birdwalk" hits the airwaves this week, with the accompanying video scheduled to debut shortly thereafter. Other stand-out tracks include "Yamaha Mama" (produced by fellow Atlanta native Polow Da Don), featuring Sean Kingston, and the street anthem "Turn My Swag On" which will be accompanied by a viral music video. "I'm more than ready to release the follow-up to `souljaboytellem.com', I know my fans are ready too." comments Soulja Boy Tell'em. "I have so much more in store this time around with a shoe and clothing deal, an animated series and some special surprises I can't talk about yet. I'm going to continue to keep up the momentum through 2009, so plan on seeing me all over the internet on your favorite websites and blogs with my new videos and updates on where I'm at and what I am doing. You are not going to be able to get away from Soulja Boy Tell'em...YUUUAAAAA!" Soulja Boy Tell'em's high visibility enabled the rapper to sign a major deal with Yums Shoes to personally design his own sneakers under the company's "Block Star" line. The first line of sneakers will roll out in November, 2008, and feature a distinctive street feel with colorful graffiti art emblazoned on the soles of each sneaker. The deal also features clothing apparel specifically designed by Soulja Boy Tell'em in conjunction with Yums' designer and one of the south's biggest graffiti artists Tex. In addition, look out for an animated series created by Soulja Boy Tell'em that will be launching on his Soulja Boy Tell'em website in November.

im not hating, but you gotta come better then this January 1, 2009 Gevis Dickerson (Richmond,VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this ablum has nothing to it, every song sounds like he was freestyling, the only reason why the first ablum "SouljaBoyTellem went platinum was because over have of the songs on there were already on the internet for a year or too. I not trying to diss no body but soulja boy is putting out trash and calling it music! I guess if your young these song will appeal to you but if your 18 and older and your jaming to these abc rhymes you really need to grow up! if he wants to sell more then 46,000 thousand copy's in one week soulja boy gotta come with something thats real
decent album but could've been better. December 31, 2008 Susan B. Taylor (Rowe, MA USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Now i'm not biased against souljaboy like a load of reviewers here and i'm not here to shower him with excessive praise (seriously the people who gave him 5 stars did so for either a. money or b. pity due to all the 1 stars) Being a souljaboy fan i was moderatly dissapointed with a few good songs not getting put on the album namely na na baby and idance which are probably the best songs from him this year (who the hell cut those?!?! seriously...) also birdwalk seems forced and falls short of crank dat and the dance is very whack. but on a positive note, whoop rico was a pleasant surprise as i thought this was technically the show stoppas song and not souljaboys (the video doesn't even have SB's verse!) also while very basic turn my swag on is VERY catchy and is one of the standout cuts. kiss me through the phone fills in the rest of the singles and is a step in the right direction for SBeezy as it's more mature and better sounding than soulja girl (which sucked...). The album as a whole is more mature than his last and the immature songs don't sound unintentionally bad and come off as rather funny actually. Overall this album is a step up from his debut but lacks the smash his that was crank dat. (a note to all who read this, go pick up his teen of the south mixtape because that has idance on it which is one of his catchiest dance songs.)
Worst album of the year goes to... December 26, 2008 Sheila (New Jersey) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This album is pure garbage. It's like he doesn't even try to make a decent song. His lyrics are so bad that it's embarrassing to listen to. He also repeats himself over and over. He really needs to read a dictionary and come up with new words. A five year old can write a better song than him. Please don't waste your money on this album. You will be very disappointed.
This Young Man Really Need's To Retire December 25, 2008 Justin Stewart (Bronx, Ny) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's Music Like Soulja Boy's That Are Killing The Rap Game. This Album Was No Better Then His First Album, Cause All Of Them Are Corny, Stupid, And Immature. I Seriously Wonder What's Keeping Him In The Rap Game Right Now? Soulja Boy Need's To Take His Rap's Or Whatever You Call His Music Seriously. Let Me Start Of With ''Bird Walk''. That Song Is Just Like His Song ''Crank That Soulja Boy'' With A Retarded Dance And Ridiculous Beat's. ''Turn My Swag On'' Is Childish And Stupid, No Good Beat's And The Lyric's Are UGH. I'm Not Going To State All These Crappy Song's, But I'm Going To State That This Album Is Nothing Serious. Listen To Real Rap Like. Eminem DMX Tupac Biggie Xzibit Ice Cube Lupe Fiasco TI Lil Wayne Avoid This Album If You're Smart. You're Not Going To Find Anything New And Refreashing On This Album. Don't By It.
Why So Much SouljaBoy Hate? December 24, 2008 Aaron O. C. Mcintyre (Gwynn Oak MD) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I just dont understand why SO MANY people just hate SouljaBoy. (Note I didnt say "hate on" because that is so hackneyed/cliche/overused) He is a hardworking dude and one thing I have always given SouljaBoy credit for is the fact that he actually wrote AND produced "Crank Dat" and most of his debut album. Dont be angry because he made a silly song a hit. He certainly was NOT the first to do that, "Hey Mickey" (80's reference lol). The music industry is not easy and as an artist trying to "make it" I have to give people credit for "making it" because it aint easy. Perhaps I could understand the hate if he was just some dude the record label picked up off the street and molded into some totally different personality. However he wrote and produced his own stuff and he had his own persona all set AND he had a HUGE web following before he was even signed. Record companies dont spend money on artist development like they used to. They basically jusy gave him distribution and we bought it, by the millions! As far as complaining about his lyrical content, to that I ask; Are you kidding!?!? Unless you have been living atop a mountain without any electricity for the past 8 years you would have known that popular music now-a-days VERY RARELY has deep lyrical content unfortunately. It's all about the "hook" and the beat. This is because WE BUY IT. Which is fine because sometimes even I like a simple song to just groove to. I think we need a blance of more songs with depth on the pop charts though, but thats another story. See Brandy's "Human" GREAT ALBUM! Mary Mary "The Sound" GREAT ALBUM! SouljaBoy delivers whats currently popular, hot beats, memorable hooks and verses with a few clever punchlines that you dont have to spend too much time thinking about so you can keep grooving to the music. Dont hate him because he is popular. Dont hate him because YOU bought his CD. Shoot "Bird Walk" is catchy! lol
