| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Following the 1999 success of her CD single of "The Christmas Song," Linda Eder delivers a full-length holiday album that will please her fans for years to come. No surprise that the program includes a hard swinger ("Here Comes Santa Claus/Santa Claus Is Coming to Town") and a gorgeous Judy Garland cover ("Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"), but "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "O Holy Night" sizzle with a gospel choir, and she adds a lovely descant to "Silent Night." Her "Christmas Song" performance is reprised here, and a medley combines the very familiar "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Let It Snow" with the too seldom heard "Silver and Gold." And of course no Eder album would be complete without songs from husband Frank Wildhorn. In addition to the pleasant title track and "The Bells of St. Paul," "Christmas Through a Child's Eyes" features a lyric by Eder herself, written for their young son. --David Horiuchi

KOST 103.5 LA Doesn't play her enough December 17, 2008 Erik Anderson I first heard Linda Eder on a local radio station here in Los Angeles. (KOST 103.5). Her version of Silent Night is so hauntingly beautiful it brings chills. But KOST has completely sold out and now they only play the same 20 songs over and over again, so I'm back to buying CDs. I haven't bought a CD in years so that should give you an idea of how important this album is to a complete Christmas package. Linda Eder has the voice of an angel, a true opera star that brings an entire new scope to any song she sings.
Great Christmas Disk. Sweet and Powerful January 18, 2008 Martin E. Koons (Owings Mills, MD) I bought this disk because I heard, "Do You Hear What I Hear" on the radio. The arrangement of this song and the strength of her voice bring goose-bumps every time. Of course, having the Broadway Gospel Choir in the arrangement is good, but it takes nothing away from the singular power and grace of her voice. There's also a rousing version of "Drummer Boy". Not normally one of my favorites, but it gets regular rotation when this disk is in my car. Several key changes and layering of the choir add an emotional impact. The only reason I gave four stars not five is because some of the selections are so traditional that I've never heard of them. That's not saying they're bad, but with a voice like Linda's there are so many well knows songs that could have been given a new life. Three cheers for "Do You Hear What I Hear" and the rest of the music. Thanks Linda.
Great Christmas Music January 14, 2008 Joanne Canulli Linda Eder is a versatile songstress with an amazing vocal range. This CD is a great mix of traditional and contemporary Christmas songs. LOVE IT!
Simply Amazing! December 29, 2007 Nicholas M. Marchioli What can I say about this stunningly beautiful woman with an equally stunningly beautiful voice, that hasn't already been said here? Her high notes in "Silent Night" were the purest I've ever heard! Her tears when she sang "IF I Had My Way" touched me.This disk will go with a select few others such as Les Miserables in concert and the Andrew Lloyd Webber celebration, as one of the best musical DVD's I have ever listened to! Linda Eder is the closest thing to a goddess I think we will see for a long time.
This is Great November 20, 2007 J. Insco (Atlanta, ga) A friend introduced me to Lind'a music a few years back and I have been hooked ever since. This Christmas CD is a must have.. If you enjoy the CD, I would strongly suggest getting the Bravo Concert DVD, it is fantastic! By far, Linda Eder is the most underrated talent around today.
