CD name Jagged LIttle THrill speaks for itself April 13, 2002 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
When we tuned into the radio and heard Let's Get Married (off of their old CD for the first time you KNEW these guys were good. Jagged Edge's last CD J.E. Heartbreak is no comparison to this one which blows it away. Jagged Edge is the best R&B group right now and often have rappers do re-mixes with them like Ludacris, Nelly and Trina. There are no songs on this CD that will annoy you, but they are a few that get old after constant listening#1 The Saga Continues-A great intro to a great cd which introduces each member of JE #2-Where The Party At-The best song on the cd featuring rapper Nelly who adds some flavor to the song #3-Goodbye-A very slow, sad song about breaking up with your girlfriend #4-Cut Sumtin'-Awesome song featuring Ludacris who really makes this song interesting #5-Girl It's Over-Another song about breaking up, but still a good song #6-Can We Be Tight-A great song, just gets old after a while #7-I Got It- An awesome, upbeat song featuring Trina #8-Best Man-A nice song about a marriage gone wrong #9-Without You-Nice song, but no flavor #10-Driving Me To Drink-One of the best songs on this CD with a hip-hop twist #11-This Goes Out-Nice beginning, goes down hill form there #12 Respect-A song about respect for good men #13- Head Of Household-Broing #14-Remedy-The perfect Remedy for a headache! Overall this is a must-have CD for R&B/Hip Hop fans who want some great music to listen to.
SHOULD HAVE SKIPPED THIS ALBUM June 28, 2001 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE WHO BRING OUT ALBUMS WITH ONLY LIKE A FEW GOOD SONGS, THAT MAKES ME SICK. I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM BECAUSE I LIKED JAGGED EDGE'S FIRST SINGLE 'WHERE THE PARTY AT'. I WANTED TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE CONSIDERING THAT I ONLY LIKE THE R&B GROUP 112. I SHOULD HAVE KEPT MY MONEY AND SAVED UP FOR THE NEXT 112 ALBUM OR BOUGHT LIL' MO'S ALBUM OR SOMETHING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE ACTUALLY SAID THAT JAGGED EDGE IS BETTER THAN OTHER R&B GROUPS, PLEASE. THEY CANNOT BE BETTER THAN ANY OTHER GROUP. I KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT BETTER THAN THE GROUP 112. AT LEAST 112'S GROUP MEMBERS ALL SING LEAD AND THEY PRODUCED THE MAJORITY OF THEIR ALBUM. I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE THE 112 PART III ALBUM TO JUST SKIP OVER THIS JAGGED EDGE ALBUM AND BUY 112'S YOU WOULD GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH. THAT ALBUM IS MORE OF A TREAT. I AM TIRED OF HEARING THE SAME LEAD VOICES FROM JE ANYWAYS, DAMN THEY REMIND ME OF DESTINY'S CHILD WITH THAT. WHAT'S UP WITH THEM TRYING TO USE NELLY TO CROSS OVER, PLEASE.I LEARNED MY LESSON.
Not incredible September 26, 2001 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ever buy a CD just cuz you like one song? I did, when I bought this one. "where the party at" w/ Nelly is awesome. But after that, it dosen't get much better. Best songs "Where the party at" w/ Nelly, "cut somethin'" w/ Ludacris, "this goes out" w/ Big Duke and Joe Blak. Notice anything? All the good songs are with feature artists.
Always room for improvement June 6, 2002 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this album after hearing Where The Party At? I still regret it. The only other song I like is Cut Somethin'. All the other songs sound too much alike and the slow jams are a million miles from being creative. All they sing about is breaks up. Do any of their relationships work??????? Basically, I say this album was a waste of money.
The Boys Are Back! June 26, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Jagged Edge is back, keeping the tradition of great R&B groups. The twins do some more writing and Jermaine Dupri is not the only producer so the album doesn't sound the same and boring throughout. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I don't care for their slow jams. I loved the last CD, but who didn't get tired of Let's Get Married and Promise. "GOODBYE" and "BEST MAN" will do the same on the charts. "Head of Household" is a great song, corny lyrics but I love the subject. WHERE THE PARTY AT is the definite summer jam. Great JOB guys
