Jennifer Lopez sure knows how to milk her fans of their money. First her album J LO, which was re-released with the remix of "I'm Real" with Ja Rule, and now this remix album, with the single remix of "Aint It Funny" also with Ja Rule. Not only is she cashing in on her fans, but she is trying to hang on to those 15 minutes for as long as she can. Point and fact, the original versions of "I'm Real" and "Ain't it Funny" (which ARE better than the remixes) were not popular on radio and didn't do well at all. The I'm Real Remix with Ja Rule was a success, and here she is again with him. Seems to me her success relies on his remixes. The funny thing is he thinks he can rap and sing, which he can't. Even funnier is J Lo who thinks she can sing. You can say she sounds good on the Aint It Funny Remix, but clearly its studio trickery, a mockery just as her first concert on TV was. The other remixes are less than stellar, why not just leave them alone? Overall a waste of money, its a shame J Lo and Ja Rule are ruining music with every song they do together.

5 out of 5 stars Get the party started!!!!!!!!!!   February 6, 2002

I just purchased the cd and I was very pleased to find a lot of the remixes that I found on the different cd maxi singles that J.Lo has released. It's a great collection that just makes us start the party! She has added also a couple of surprises like the never heard before remix of "I'm gonna be alright" and "Walking on sunshine", and her new song "Alive" which she wrote, is the last track and fits well as the only ballad to coolout after the great remixes. Great and popular are her collaborations with Ja Rule, the already favorite "I'm real" and the new catchy "Ain't it funny" these two sound awsome! Other high points are her classic dance Hex Hector remix of "Waiting for tonight" and the Darkchild mix of "If you had my love". You will also enjoy the cool version with colaborations of "Love don't cost a thing" and "Feeling so good". For the club fans check out club remixes of "Play" and "Let's get loud"
    Way to go J.LO...

    3 out of 5 stars I just don't know...   February 11, 2002

I like Jeniffer Lopez. It's difficult for me to say negative things about her, but if I'm going to write a proper review, something must be said! I love her hits. It is her collaborations with rapper Ja Rule and ex boyfriend P Diddy that are the most exciting tracks on this or any J-Lo release. She's not a great singer, but she gets by well. Stand out tracks from this release include the new "Ain't It Funny" remix feat. Ja Rule which samples Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear" track. The others include the smash "I'm Real" also feat. Ja Rule, "Waiting for Tonight" and the remix of her first hit "If You Had My Love". But the rest of the album is surpsingly dull. Most disappointing of all is the newest track on the album, "Alive" which is more properly suited for an actual vocalist. Also disappointing about the album is that its track listing includes a duet with international diva Anastacia, which doesn't actually appear on this release. True, her powerhouse vocals might have overshadowed those of Jeniffer, but they would have been a more than welcome addition to this release. I love JLO, but I can't help but wonder if without the aid of other people, can she stand on her own musically? She can as an actress and a dancer. I guess I'm just waiting for JLo to "wow' me herself as a singer.

4 out of 5 stars Forget about the first 2 albums, Go for the remixes!   February 19, 2002

This is a great collection to have for any Jennifer Lopez fans. Included is all of her greatest hits including the new versions of I'm Real and Aint it Funny with Ja Rule. Standout tracks include the funky remixes of Play, Lets Get Loud, and Waiting For Tonight. Unfortunately the other songs are not really remixes, more like variations of the songs, such as on Love Don't Cost a Thing and If You Had My Love. this does not matter, for its nice to have an album from J Lo that I could listen to all the way through without skipping tracks, which is what I found myself doing on her 2 albums. There is not one bad song on the album, and even the new ballad Alive is very beautiful and is by far her best effort vocally. Forget about her 2 albums, and get the remixes.
