    5 out of 5 stars J to tha L-O! The Remixes   September 4, 2005

Your PBJ and homework are packed, and you're about to head to the bus stop. You're the last one out of the house so it's up to you how kitty will spend the day. Do you place her in a sunny spot next to the window? Or do you open the door and let her bolt to the neighbor's yard as you bolt for the bus?

    Danger Outside the Front Door
The "great outdoors" isn't so great for cats left outside. Speeding cars, dogs, diseases, and cruel humans aren't a puddy tat's best buds. Some of your neighbors probably think cats are "pests" to be kicked, while others just like to hurt and kill cats "for fun." And there are "bunchers" who steal cats-then sell them for use in lab experiments and school dissections.

What the Heck Is a Buncher?
Bunchers scan "free-to-a-good-home" ads for unwanted cats to sell to dissection supply companies. They also search for neighborhood cats who spend their days outside. As easily as you can call cats over for friendly scratches, a buncher can whisk them away forever.

Ever Wonder Where the Cats in Biology Class Come From?
PETA's undercover investigators at a large biological supply company witnessed the "cat man" deliver cats packed on top of each other in crates. The frightened cats were supposed to be gassed to death-but many were still alive when they were being embalmed. Yes, you read that right. The dead cats were shipped to schools all over the country so that students could cut them up in biology classes.

    * Never let your cat outside alone. Like dogs, cats can easily learn to walk with a harness and leash. Warn your neighbors about the dangers of leaving their companion animals outside.

2 out of 5 stars It's Funny How Some "Remixes" Sound Like The Original!   November 26, 2005
7 out of 10 found this review helpful

J To Tha L-O:The Remixes~This "remix" album wasn''t quite what I expected. This album contains dance/club,R&B and Hip-Hop mixes.BUT it's funny how some of those remixes sound exactly like their originals. Some were just changed completly and made more horrible than what it already was!

1.Love Don't Cost A Thing(RJ Schoolyard Remix):This is one example of those remixes that sound like their original. This is no remix!Just added rap by the most wiggydy wack rapper Fat Joe.

2.Ain't It Funny(Murder Inc Remix)feat.Ja Rule:The original version was a hell of a lot better than this rubbish. She sounds like a friggin rat!!And Ja-Rule sounds like.....well you know!

3.I'm Gonna Be Alright(Track Masters Remix)feat.50 Cent:First of all,I don't know about you all but ma CD didn't have 50 Cent on this song. And thatz a good thing!I like this song alot!Sounds nothing like the original!

4.I'm Real(Murder Inc Remix)feat.Ja Rule:Another Re-"made" song with Ja Rule. But I will admit I liked this version better than the original!

    5.Walking On Sunshine(Metro Remix):A dance/club remix.This is a great song to dance to.I like this song also!Only because Ja Rule didn't mess it up.LOL

6.If You Had My Love(Dark Child Remix):Another song that sounds like the original! The only thing different is the cowbell and that Darkchild dude that is always saying "I want another Darkchild Remix" throughout the whole song!

7.Feelin' So Good(Bad Boy Remix):I never liked this song. She doesn't sing it with joy.And with this remix is even worst because P.Diddy's rap just killed it completly!

8.Let's Get Loud(Pablo Flores Remix):Sounds the same only without the horns!Although i kind of like it!

9.Play(Sack International Remix):This song was not ment to be remixed! The original version is better than any Remix of this song.ONLY!!!This remix is VERY boring made me sleeep!zzzzzzz

10.Waiting For Tonight(Hex Momentous Remix):Then this song woke me up because it's ma favorite song from J.Lo and this album.Way better than the original!

11.Alive:Wait a minute. Can I see the title of this album.J to tha L-O:The "REMIXES!!!"this is no remix and no song that deserves to be in this album! This is a boring balad! What she thinks that after all that dancing people are all of a sudden gonna relax listening to this rubbish!OH hell NAH!!!!

In Conlcusion....this is a FAKE album.not good nor alright. If you want a REAL remix album then go buy Mariah Carey,Destiny's Child and Britney Spears. Now those are REAL remix albums!!!

    3 out of 5 stars I just don't know...   February 11, 2002

I like Jeniffer Lopez. It's difficult for me to say negative things about her, but if I'm going to write a proper review, something must be said! I love her hits. It is her collaborations with rapper Ja Rule and ex boyfriend P Diddy that are the most exciting tracks on this or any J-Lo release. She's not a great singer, but she gets by well. Stand out tracks from this release include the new "Ain't It Funny" remix feat. Ja Rule which samples Craig Mack's "Flava in Ya Ear" track. The others include the smash "I'm Real" also feat. Ja Rule, "Waiting for Tonight" and the remix of her first hit "If You Had My Love". But the rest of the album is surpsingly dull. Most disappointing of all is the newest track on the album, "Alive" which is more properly suited for an actual vocalist. Also disappointing about the album is that its track listing includes a duet with international diva Anastacia, which doesn't actually appear on this release. True, her powerhouse vocals might have overshadowed those of Jeniffer, but they would have been a more than welcome addition to this release. I love JLO, but I can't help but wonder if without the aid of other people, can she stand on her own musically? She can as an actress and a dancer. I guess I'm just waiting for JLo to "wow' me herself as a singer.

Well, above all otha problems, there's one really big 'bout Jennifer: she can't sing! And by the way, she can't even write Songs! All the Remixes are even worse than the original versions! It's hard 2 belive cuz the original versions are already so bad, bute belive me, it's true! So please, keep ya hands off this cd!

    5 out of 5 stars Awesome Remix CD - J.LO's Best   April 24, 2002

AWESOME CD! Here's some individual reviews of the songs:

1 Love Don't Cost A Thing [RJ Schoolyard Mix feat. Fat Joe] 5/5 Great remix, seems similar to the original, but a little more uptempo & one of the best on the disc. A great dance tune!
2 Ain't It Funny [Murder Remix feat. Ja Rule & Caddilac Tah]5/5 Awesome again, Ja Rule really isn't a favorite of mine but here's an exception! Great lyrics.
3 I'm Gonna Be Alright [Trackmasters Remix] 3/5 Never liked this song, even in the original.
4 I'm Real [Murder Remix feat. Ja Rule] 5/5 Great song again!! This is really a nice song to groove along to.
5 Walking On Sunshine [Metro Remix] 4/5 This is an OK song, seems so similar to the album version though.
6 If You Had My Love [Dark Child Master Mix] 3/5 ehhhhh. I hate this song. I really wasnt a fan of her first album songs.
7 Feelin' So Good [Bad Boy Remix feat. P. Diddy & G. Dep] 4/5 This is nice, but this isnt a great song either.
8 Let's Get Loud [Pablo Flores Remix] 3/5 I sorta hate this song but its ok to listen to every once & a while
9 Play [Sack International Remix] 5/5 Love this one! It is awesome! Loved the original too!
10 Waiting For Tonight [Hex's Momentus Radio Mix] 5/5 This is a classic. It'll be played for years & years & years.
11 Alive 5/5 I have to say i never knew Cris Judd could songwrite? A beautiful ballad, in the movie Enough.
