another sorry excuse for rap. when is america going to realize that 4 foot tall rappers are what is least needed in this country. just let me know when that time comes.
Not Impressed At All August 23, 2003 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've thoroughly enjoyed Bow Wow's music over the years, but I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed with this CD. There's no originality and many of the songs sound the same as Bow Wow reminds us over and over again how rich he is, the amount of money he has, and how shiny his cars are. How original. My advice -- buy the single for "Let's Get Down" and call it a day.

I like the broken chains tied to the text of "UNLEASHED". They bring a certain aesthetic quality to the overall image. You see they're broken because BOW LOW was "unleashed" moments before the photograph was taken. So we, being the audience, are unable to actually see him being "unleashed", we can only witness the results of it. This "unleashing" business may also have something to do with the rather large explosion featured in the background. Speaking of backgrounds - you may have noticed the four gentleman featured in each of the four corners of the image. His posse perhaps? Members of his crew? Like most of BOW WOW's work he leaves this up to the audience to interpret. This helps supply and endless state of conjecture when submerged in the BOW WOW universe. Also interesting, and for the lack of a better way to describe it, are the "upside down peace symbols". Have right-side up peace symbols outstayed their welcome? Or is he merely pointing to his name? And if so why two fingers? Has the standard changed at some point, to now use both fingers when physically addressing a person and/or thing? Or once again, is there some hidden meaning behind the gesture? I suppose we'll never know for sure. In closing let me say that this is one of the better "rap" albums I've seen in the past few minutes. For future BOW WOW outings however, I'd like to see a little more bling-bling.-word
don't buy November 17, 2003 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Why Blayz put Ladacris and 50 cent in the same sentence with BIG and 2pac is beyond me, but he's right about one thing....underground rappers like him and I spend YEARS perfecting the ART trying to get deals, yet no talent boys like Bow Wow get all this press. It's shameful and shows that the US fanbase would rather hear materialistic rap then rap in the Common/Mos Def/Canibus/PE vein.
