okay when baby one more time came out i was like "man this gurl cant sing but the pigatils are cool!" then what happened to the cutsie pop princess? she grew up? what no she didnt! she just started prostituting herself! literally she is a prostitute! her voice.. wait what voice.. anyways the thing she calls her voice doesnt sell records its her image! the onyl reason britney is ruviving in the industry is by taking off more and more clothes! shes just a waste of time and space in the music industry! Honestly GO AWAY BRITNEY!! she never could sing and she never will be able to sing. Me against the music has rave reviews but honestly, its nothing but a waste of millions of cds. beleive me dont buy it, my freidn has it, and she threw it in the garbage can. Its a waste of plastic, waste of time, and it kills the ears! do us a favour britney and go away!! LEAVE US ALONE! ure vapour! britney fans dont hate, appreciate and take in the truth! this cd deserved less than 1, 0 or negatives!

I'm tired of all these so called 'music experts' who are so far above listening to Britney that they come on Amazon.com just to complain about her...don't make much sense to me. I'm also tired of people saying that Britney lacks depth and diversity...who cares, did she ever once say that this album was on the same level as Bob Dylan or something? No, she said that this was a dance album, pure and simple. And that's what it is, and it's a great one at that. Yeesh, she's like 21, not 60. Even if she was singing about life, nature, politics, would u take her advice since your so against her anyway? Didn't think so. Stand outs are, Toxic, Breathe On Me, Early Mornin' and the remix of 'Me Against The Music'. The albums got great beats, great hooks, great songs, and the liner pictures are nice...;) I say good for you Britney, give all those 'I'm above listening to Britney' people (who listen to The Clash and The Strokes because they think they have to) more to cry about. Out of the zone... March 12, 2004 23 out of 35 found this review helpful
"In the Zone" may be the most under-the-radar thing that Britney Spears has done all year. And since it's all about clubbing, partying, and gettin' some, that's a pretty frightening statement. Graduating from vapid teen pop to vapid adult pop, Britney aims for early Madonna's style... and misses. Her songs tend to be either wispy but passable ballads (the self-pleasure ode "Touch of My Hand" or the piano-led "Everytime") or vapid dance pop, like a collection of Kylie Minogue's rejects. Her duets are particularly embarrassing: "Me Against The Music" is mainly Spears muttering fast against an electronic backdrop, and the Ying Yang Twins make a forgettable appearance in the deeply embarrassing "(I Got That) Boom Boom." Things go rapidly downhill as the album progresses, with the faux-sexy "Breathe On Me" and "Hook-Up." The lowest point is the leaden "Outrageous," which may be the worst-written song of last year ("Outrageous... when I move my body/Outrageous... when I'm at a party/Outrageous... in my sexy jeans"). There's a slight upturn with the weird but catchy "Toxic" and the wispy "Everytime," but those few listenable tracks are bogged down by all the empty dancepop. There's little that's new about "In the Zone." Madonna did the poppy electronic beats long ago. But then, she never made an album quite like this -- the electronic synthesizing is so heavy and thick that it feels like muddy water. Spears's voice is the most synthetic part of the album, especially when laced with moans and gasps. Partying sure hasn't done wonders or Britney's voice. She never could sing well to start with, but there's a strain and crack to her vocals that shows up despite the heavy electronic coverups. It's not written anywhere that good vocals are necessary for dancepop, but Spears is only passable (never good) in a few of the songs. She also cowrote several songs, which don't appear to have improved for her contribution. At best, they're mediocre. At worst, they're embarrassingly bad. "In The Zone" was hailed as Spears' clubby, adult album, but it falls wide of the intended mark and sinks into the mire. Empty, mediocre and uninviting.
It's ALL about the image March 21, 2004 23 out of 30 found this review helpful
She can't sing. It also seems like she won't just go away. Why do her albums sell? It's all about the image. If she didn't have any music videos with her half-naked, would she sell any albums? Highly doubtful. I'm probably going to get alot of 'Not Helpful' feedback from this one but the truth had to be said.
