I don't care too much about Crunk & B or whatever you want to call it because it's not gonna last anyway. But this song is the jam! It actually makes you want to throw it down on the dance floor. I have it on my MP3 player and I listen to it while I jog. Missy's rap piece in the song isn't really anything spectacular. All she did was copy someone else's flow style. Hey, Missy! Who's biting someone else's style now?

For all those idiots who said Ciara would be a 1-Hit wonder, lets take a look at her track record! Goodies #1, 1,2 Step #2, & Oh #2. Lose Control with Missy has just cracked the Top 10, making it a definite hit. She still has one more single coming, presumedly Thug Style. We'll have to wait & see if she can carry an entire single on her own. But, for now she has 2 other featured singles coming up. Like U with Bow Wow is going to shoot up to #1 so fast! Then, If I Hit (Remix) with T.I. & 112, will definitely be a hit in the urban markey as well.
As for this single, well it's amazing! Love it! Go on Ciara!

Ciara's second single, "1, 2 Step" is a few steps (at least) above that off-key attrocity "Goodies" because of a few things:
-no Petey Pablo, yes Missy Elliot
-no Lil Jon, yes Jazze Pha
That's right. Jazze Pha provides a pretty decent backdrop for Ciara's surprisingly ON-key singing and Missy Elliot spits, uh, 4 bars, in her extremely brief verse. I guess 1, 2 Step is an alright joint for the clubs, but can Ciara pull off a single on her own? Her next one features Ludacris, so we'll have to wait and see if Ciara can hold her own as an artist.

ciara is not my favourite singer.... she is not really a looker either but this song is bananas.... i love this song to death.... i hated "goodies"... "goodies" was annoying in every single way.
"1,2 step" is the best song on her debut album hands down....it has a great old skool feel to the song and makes you wanna breakdance to it... and missy puts her 2 cents in the song to make it shine even more....
im soooooo friggin glad lil' john did not produce this song just because it would have sounded terrible....this song maybe classified as a "crunk n' B" song but there is not sign of him anywhere...
to be honest this is probably going to be her last hit... she does not have the staying power like most successfl female singers.... but this song will always be one of my favourite songs of 2004-2005....

these songs are decent at the club,but Ciara's vocals are really lightweight&the Grooves are all the same. it's cool to be at the Club dancing to them,but after a while He limited vocal range comes rather quickly than later.
