Average...but still better than angels and airwaves November 15, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Rather good....i believe it is overproduced a touch, just like some of the latter 'pop punk ' blink albums ...but otherwise a good album....a mix between last album blink 182 ,take off your pants and jacket both without tom and some strange electronic influences which are refreshing...but still ..lay off the pro tools a bit and it would be a brilliant album Best Songs 'Make You Smile' 'Cliffdiving' and 'Lycanthrope'
a must buy November 15, 2006 J. Jenkins 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If I had to say anything about this album it would be that I'm sure Tom Delonge knows how Mark Hoppus feels about him. While I did think that AVA was okay, I certainly didnt think it was a life changing experience like Tom said it would be. This album isn't either but it wasn't meant to be. This album is definatly a must buy for any blink fan and if your not a blink fan trust me you will like what you hear. My favorite tracks: Baby come on, lycanthrope, weatherman, 155, make you smile.
Brilliant November 22, 2006 Katrina K. (California, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In my (brilliant) opinion ;), I think that this album deserves a round of applause. Plus 44 I believe will be more sucessful then AVA because AVA had a massive build up and then when it came out, everyone was like "oh, thats it?" whereas with plus 44, they didn't claim anything and it kept people having an open mind. Now that that has been said, let me tell you about the ablum. Besides being brilliant, this album contains some strong solid modern rock songs which vary in style from the slower, sadder song 'Weatherman' to the faster, more up-beat song 'When Your Heart Stops Beating'. Mark goes back to his punk rock roots in 'Cliff Diving' which was rather satisfing to hear after showing his more mature side in the previous songs. The songs are in a good order with a nice break in 'Interlude'. Well, I'm gonna stop talking here and let the 5 stars speak for themselves...
Excellent November 25, 2006 Ian M. Hasler 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A step up from Blink 182's self titled, and a true progress in that genre. The melodies stike as many endearing chords as Blink 182 produced in its whole life. It's a completely different direction than We Don't Need to Whisper, but it's indeed almost as good, just as the consensus seems to acknowledge. If you are like me and immensely enjoy Mark's voice in Blink (particularly on songs like Adam's Song, Feeling This, and Go), you'll do yourself a favor in listening to this record.
Even octhopus will love Mark Hopus January 9, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
What??? This is truly an amazing rock album! It is a must have for any of Blink182 fans and rock fans! Songs like "When Your Heart Stops Beating" and "155" are perfect rock song. Another crazy songs that I really love are "No, It Isn't", "Lycanthrope", "Cliffdiving" and "Lilian". Hey.. HAVE IT NOW!!!!!!! you gonna love it.. really
