Let me preface by saying - I own a lot of Celine Dion CDs! I hated this album. From the first song, where it just seems like she is screaming through it, through the last song. There is not even a hint of ballard that comes close to what I've always enjoyed about her interpretations. So, I would caution folks to listen to the album at your local Best Buy or Amazon before buying - I don't think it's worth the money and my copy, at least, is going off to ebay.

This cd lacks good material. Celine has lost her voice and after watching on the AMerican Music Awards I see why. This cd sound rushed and is filled with so so songs at best. Celine's 2nd cd Celine Dion And Colour of My Love are much more superior to this cd. Don't waste your money on this fast cd to the public after she finished Vegas.

i have been waiting for this cd, after hearing the name, i thought thats what the cd was gonna be all about...WRONG. it dull, depressing, i wanna cry, because it so bad. if this cd get 2 top 5 hits or 2 number ones, it will be lucky, it all sounds the same, bad writers, my fav song would have to be cant fight the feelin, the only time the cd comes to life, whats up with track 8 NEW DAWN....? its bad. After all this time, alot of songs....but nothing good. it has to be her worst cd. Celine, you got all that money, buy some better songs. You have a great voice, but dull, dull, songs. i see very bad sales for this cd.....the first week great, because it Celine, but after that, and word of mouth.....it all down hill.....nice try, try agian. people who are 65 or older will love this cd...Im not dead yet.....like this cd.

I've loved most of Celine's albums in the past, but this one is a big disappointment. I don't feel like the sound does anything to enhance her beautiful voice. I'd advise people to preview this album before buying; I'm glad I did. Some people might like it but not me, a long-time Celine fan.

Taking Chances was a MAJOR disappointment. I typically like Dion's albums because they are something I can listen to while working without wanting to skip through. This one was painful. Her cover of Heart's "Alone" was tear-jerking for all the WRONG reasons. She ruined that song! "Taking Chances" was the only track I found worthy of release. I do not think she will be topping the charts with this record. There are no solid singles. Dion should stick with Diane Warren as a song writer and not take too many chances...
